Early Career Fellowships in Cultural and Heritage Institutions

AHRC funds early career researchers to work within galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM) sector institutions. Fellows carry out co-designed research projects on archaeology, history, creative arts, design, heritage science, digital technologies, climate resilience, and curatorial practices. The 2025 cohort call (round open Feb–Jun 2026) is invite-only — applicants must pass an expression of interest stage. Total fund £2.5 million; up to £312,500 per fellowship at 80% FEC. V&A Museum coordinates cohort development.
