ESRC-led cross-council grant (with MRC, AHRC, EPSRC, UKRI) funding interdisciplinary research on gambling within video games. Topics: esports betting, loot boxes, social casinos, regulatory frameworks, commercial determinants, user engagement, treatment, and prevention. Total fund £5 million; up to £1M per project at 80% FEC; 36-month max duration. International researchers may join as project co-leads. Projects must start by 1 January 2027.
