DRIVE35 Feasibility Studies

Supports United Kingdom manufacturers building business cases for scaling zero-emission vehicle production.

Advanced Propulsion Centre UKUnited KingdomGrant

DRIVE35 Feasibility Studies sits under Advanced Propulsion Centre UK's DRIVE35 scale-up pillar and helps UK-registered businesses build decision-ready business cases for scaling production of zero-emission vehicle technologies. The programme is aimed at manufacturing projects that need a clearer route to pilot, demonstration, or industrial-scale investment. The grant range is £150,000 to £750,000. Large organisations can claim up to 50% of eligible costs and SMEs up to 60%. The route is for single applicants, although substantial subcontracts are permitted, and projects run for up to 9 months from a minimum TRL 5 and MRL 4 starting point. The call is UK-based and runs annually. This route suits teams that have enough technical evidence to justify a scale-up decision but are still tightening the commercial case. APC is looking for applicants who can show where the next capital phase will go and why the project deserves support before full build-out. A strong submission keeps the business case, manufacturing plan, and delivery scope aligned, with specialist work pushed into subcontracted packages where needed.
