DRIVE35 Scale-up Fund sits under Advanced Propulsion Centre UK's DRIVE35 scale-up pillar and backs UK companies that have already validated a zero-emission vehicle technology and need capital to industrialise it. The programme is built around manufacturing capacity, pilot and demonstration-scale processes, and the facilities needed to move from development into scale-up. The fund offers grants of £2.5 million to £20 million per project. A private-to-public ratio of at least 2:1 is required, and projects may run for up to 46 months. The competition is UK-based, targeted at for-profit companies, and is scheduled to open, with dates not yet published. This is not an entry point for early R&D. APC uses the route for teams that can show a validated technology, a substantial private investment case, and a credible path to production. Applicants are better placed when the project already looks like industrial transformation rather than development work, because the funding is meant to bridge the gap between proven technology and manufacturing capacity.
