Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund
Provides capital support for the United Kingdom life-science manufacturing capability through public programmes for medicines, diagnostics, and medical devices.
LSIMF is a £520M capital grants programme running to 31 March 2030, administered by DSIT via the Office for Life Sciences (joint DSIT/DHSC body). It funds UK-registered wholly private-sector companies investing in manufacturing capacity for human medicines, medical diagnostics, and MedTech devices. The maximum intervention rate is 25% of eligible project costs; typical awards are 10–20% of total project cost, with no fixed per-project cap. Minimum total eligible cost per project is £8M. Applications require two years of audited accounts and a manufacturing track record. The fund operates on quarterly rolling windows (EOI accepted continuously; assessment windows roughly quarterly). Round 7 opened 1 May 2026 and closes 29 May 2026; Round 8 opens 3 August 2026; Round 9 opens 2 November 2026. A three-part process applies: EOI for eligibility screening, then Application Form 1 (health resilience assessment with panel interview), then Application Form 2 for financial/economic due diligence.
