ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowships
Offers postdoctoral fellowships in the United Kingdom for early-career social scientists to develop research outputs and professional networks.
ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers who have recently completed a PhD in the UK social sciences. Fellowships last up to 9 months full-time (or 18 months part-time), starting 1 October each year. Activities funded include publication development, networking, skill-building, and professional development; new research cannot be funded. At least 50% of activities must be within social sciences. Applications go directly to the 15 Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs) — not to ESRC centrally. Each DTP runs its own assessment and makes funding decisions. The annual cycle runs from a March opening to a June deadline with an October start.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
