Innovate UK Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure
Funds clean maritime innovation in the United Kingdom through projects in alternative fuels, electric power, and efficiency.
The Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure programme (ZEVI 2) funds development, deployment, and operation of innovative clean maritime solutions. The £150M programme runs as three parallel sub-calls: Alternative Fuels, Electric Power, and Energy Efficiency — all with the same September 2026 deadline. Projects must operate in practical, operational UK settings over a three-year period. Collaborative applications are required: UK-registered businesses (any size) working alongside other UK-registered partner organisations. The programme is co-funded by the Department for Transport. A related programme, Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition 7 (CMDC 7, £121M), covers Pre-Deployment Trials, Deployment Trials, and Feasibility Studies with July 2026 deadlines.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
