BridgeAI

BridgeAI is Innovate UK's AI-adoption programme for agriculture and food processing, construction, creative industries, and transport and logistics. It exists to help sectors with strong growth potential but low AI adoption use AI to improve productivity and competitiveness. The programme sits inside Innovate UK's wider funding offer, so the public-facing route is part funding and part sector support. Funding appears through the Innovate UK competition portal under the BridgeAI tag, alongside training, networking, mentoring, and an AI Adoption Framework. Delivery partners include Digital Catapult, the Hartree Centre at STFC, the Alan Turing Institute, and BSI Group. The programme is organised around three channels: Connecting, Expertise, and Up-skilling. BridgeAI fits organisations that can point to a real sector problem and a practical AI use case rather than a generic model demo. Good applicants usually have a UK operating base, a defined adoption path, and enough operational context to show why the work matters in their industry. The delivery partner mix also means that technical credibility and implementation readiness carry more weight than novelty alone.
