The Business Innovation Grant (BIG) provides Northern Ireland micro and SMEs with grants of up to £20,000 at a 70% funding rate to support market research, product development, market entry, trade fairs, and exhibitions. Minimum award is £5,000; applicants cover the remaining 30% themselves. The programme runs in periodic call windows and is currently closed (as of May 2026). Prep workshops for the next round were scheduled for February/March 2026. Applications and enquiries are handled via Innovate NI.
