Funds UK business-led collaborations developing and deploying clean maritime technologies across alternative fuels, electric power, and energy efficiency.
Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure 2 (ZEVI 2) is an Innovate UK programme delivered in partnership with the Department for Transport under the UK SHORE (Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions) initiative. It funds UK business-led collaborative projects to develop, deploy, and operate innovative clean maritime solutions. The programme is structured across three strands: Alternative Fuels, Electric Power, and Energy Efficiency. Innovate UK and DfT have allocated up to £150 million in total across these three strands. Lead organisations must be UK registered businesses; academic institutions cannot lead or work alone. All projects must involve a collaboration and must connect to a UK registered ship owner, manufacturer, or operator.
