The MRC New Investigator Research Grant supports postdocs, lecturers, junior fellows, and early-career training fellowship holders making the transition to independent research leadership. Projects cover discovery and early translational research into disease causes/mechanisms up to 5 years. No upper award limit; 80% fEC; up to 50% of applicant salary funded. Rolling via UKRI Funding Service; shortlisting twice yearly.
