The scheme is UK-based, annual, and grant-funded. Awards run from GBP 50,000 to GBP 300,000, with a typical working point around GBP 150,000, and the eligible stage is roughly TRL 2-5. For-profit applicants are required, UK researchers or companies are the intended audience, and the same project cannot be resubmitted for more support. Applications are reviewed by researchers and by people affected by MS, so scientific quality and patient relevance both matter. The strongest proposals are hypothesis-driven, clearly translational, and easy to defend as high-risk but practical steps toward a therapy, diagnostic, or another innovation with a visible path to impact.
