Funds adoption of market-ready cancer detection and diagnosis innovations across the NHS.

SBRI Healthcare (NHS England)United KingdomGrant

The NHS Cancer Programme Innovation Open Call is run by SBRI Healthcare for NHS England’s NHS Cancer Programme. It funds companies and other organisations to put proven cancer innovations into real use in the NHS, focusing on earlier detection, faster diagnosis, and more efficient cancer care pathways. It runs as repeated rounds. Across the first three rounds it invested about 40 million pounds in 21 projects. Round 4 was launched in 2026 with two funding routes: a Real World Implementation and Evaluation Fund of up to 3 million pounds for companies working with adopting NHS sites, and an Innovation Spread Fund of up to 5 million pounds led by NHS bodies. It is a good fit for medtech, diagnostics, digital health, and AI companies whose product is already market-ready and who can show a clear NHS adoption path with an NHS partner site.
