The South Yorkshire Adult Skills Fund (ASF) delivers free training and employability programmes for residents aged 19 or over who are not in employment, education or training, as well as employed residents seeking career progression. Training is delivered by 25+ approved independent training providers, colleges, and voluntary organisations covering manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, construction, retail, digital skills, and ESOL. Funding is via contract to approved training providers (ITPs and colleges), not direct to learners. The 2025/26 contract year is live with provision starting 1 August 2025. A pseudo-framework agreement for 2027-onwards ASF providers has been procured via Find-a-Tender (notice 023850-2025). SYMCA administers the devolved Adult Skills Fund from the DfE.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
