Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber is a national programme for manufacturers delivered locally by SYMCA and growth hubs across Yorkshire. It offers manufacturing SMEs a suite of digital-transformation support including diagnostic digital roadmaps, intensive technical consultancy with up to 50% match funding, and capital expenditure grants of up to £20,000 for investments in automation, robotics, AI, 3D printing and data-driven tools. The programme also provides fully funded training via a Digital Manufacturing Leadership Course (Sheffield Hallam University), a Digital Champions course for operational managers, and 12-week Digital Internships. Eligibility is limited to micro and SME-sized manufacturers with operations in Yorkshire & Humber. National programme funding is from DBT/DSIT; SYMCA delivers for South Yorkshire.
