South Yorkshire UK Shared Prosperity Fund
Funds South Yorkshire communities, local businesses, and skills development through investment in place and economic growth.
The South Yorkshire UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) was a three-year fund (2022/23–2024/25) replacing European Structural and Investment Funds. SYMCA received a £46.2 million allocation (£7.3m Multiply + £38.9m Core UKSPF) and developed an Investment Plan covering three priorities: Communities and Place, Local Business Support, and People and Skills. The fund operated in partnership with all four South Yorkshire local authorities through a Local Partnership Group. The UKSPF period ended March 2025. From April 2026, SYMCA transitioned to an Integrated Funding Settlement (Autumn Budget 2024) that subsumes UKSPF and similar pots into a single multi-year block grant.
