The UKRI Cross Research Council Responsive Mode Pilot Scheme supports emerging interdisciplinary research ideas that transcend or significantly span multiple research disciplines. It addresses a funding gap identified in the 2015 Nurse Review and 2022 Grant Review for projects lacking a clear lead research council. Seven councils collaborate: AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC, MRC, NERC, and STFC.
