UKRI Gambling Harms Research Grants
Funds cross-council research in the United Kingdom on gambling harms, prevention strategies, and treatment support.
A multi-council UKRI call supporting research projects that deepen understanding of or develop solutions for preventing and treating gambling-related harms. Funded jointly by AHRC, ESRC, and MRC, with UKRI as umbrella coordinator. Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches across all UKRI research councils are welcomed. Projects must be team-based and bring together diverse people, expertise, experiences, and stakeholders including individuals with lived experience of gambling harms. Project co-leads from non-standard organisations (charities, businesses, government departments) are permitted with restrictions. Maximum award is £2,000,000 FEC; UKRI funds 80% FEC. Project duration is 3 years.
