The Flexible Skills Programme (FSP) is a Welsh Government-funded initiative that supports businesses across Wales to invest in their workforce by subsidising accredited training costs. The Welsh Government covers 50% of eligible training costs up to a maximum of £50,000 per application, with no minimum funding limit. Multiple applications per year are allowed. An AI training pilot stream offers an enhanced 75% contribution rate. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis at any time — no fixed call windows. Businesses must be Wales-based and financially solvent, and staff must be able to complete their training by 31 March 2027 (the current tranche's delivery deadline). Reimbursement is made after course completion, with decisions typically within 10 working days.
