Bakar Ignite Scholars

The Bakar Ignite Scholars program provides UC Berkeley undergraduates in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year with hands-on research experience in Bakar Faculty Fellow labs. Scholars receive up to $2,500 as a stipend on completion, or an hourly alternative of $20/hour. The commitment is approximately 10–12 hours per week over a 10-week semester (~125 hours total). International students currently enrolled at UC Berkeley are eligible; recent graduates are not eligible in the semester immediately following their graduation. Projects are listed on the Discovery Hub; students select a project and apply. Interviews are optional; decisions are typically made within about two weeks of the application deadline.
