EnergyTech University Prize
Funds student energy technology ventures through nationwide campus competition and entrepreneurship support.
The EnergyTech University Prize is a collegiate competition for multidisciplinary student teams developing energy technology ventures. OTC leads the prize in partnership with American-Made Challenges and other DOE program offices; NREL administers delivery. The most recent round (2024–2025) awarded over $460,000 in cash prizes across Student and Faculty tracks. As of 2026, the program is paused: OTC confirmed there will be no 2025-2026 round. Most recent winners were announced July 2025.
