Georgia FAST Grant Program

Funds Georgia startups with FAST program support for innovation and job growth.

The Georgia FAST Grant Program sits under UGA Innovation Gateway, with the Center for Black Entrepreneurship as a co-partner, and is funded through the U.S. Small Business Administration's FAST Partnership Program. It supports Georgia startups that need help turning technical work into a stronger SBIR or STTR submission. The program offers up to $2,450 as a Phase 0 award to pay for a professional grant-writing consultant. Eligibility is limited to for-profit technology ventures that are Georgia incorporated or based in Georgia, already have proof-of-concept funding, and can show potential for Georgia job creation. Applicants with a prior unsuccessful SBIR or STTR submission are preferred. Applications are rolling and go through an online form. UGA's 2021 SBA award and the later CBE partnership show a program designed to widen access beyond a narrow campus audience, with outreach aimed at women, historically underserved founders, and rural Georgia companies that need proposal support before federal review.
