Community GPU Grants
Provides in-kind compute resources for scientific communities pursuing shared artificial intelligence work.
Community GPU Grants are Hugging Face's in-kind compute support for Spaces that demonstrate community value. They provide ZeroGPU or A10G hardware inside a Hugging Face Space rather than cash, and applications run directly from the Space hardware settings page with no external portal or deadline. The program is open to academic research demos, open-source projects with traction, and other useful ML applications. The support is rolling and can be assigned quickly by Hugging Face staff, with the hardware sometimes approved in a few days. There is no fixed monetary award and no transferable cash value; the real benefit is access to GPU capacity that can be revoked if usage falls below the platform threshold. Eligibility is broad across for-profit, nonprofit, university, research, and individual applicants. The strongest submissions show actual user demand rather than just a promising concept. Spaces with visible traffic, open-source adoption, or clear community utility are easier to justify, and the example cited in the record points to concrete usage signals as the main reason for approval.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
