Provides award for VA-affiliated researchers studying lung cancer in veteran populations.
The VA Research Scholar Award funds $100,000 over two years ($50,000/year) for lung cancer research relevant to the veteran population. Eligible investigators hold a doctoral degree and are either postdoctoral fellows or within five years of their initial faculty appointment; they must conduct research at a VA facility or affiliated academic center.
