MassVentures THRiVE Program
Offers MassVentures THRiVE Program, supporting THRiVE program awards grants of up to Massachusetts institutions of higher education.
The THRiVE program awards grants of up to $10,000 each (maximum 19 per cycle) to Massachusetts institutions of higher education and their nonprofit affiliates that employ international STEM entrepreneurs. The grants offset employment costs and legal fees associated with H-1B visa sponsorship for non-U.S. citizens pursuing master's or doctoral degrees in STEM, business, or related fields who have established or intend to create a new business venture in the Commonwealth. Note: the stub record described THRiVE as supporting 'underrepresented founders' — the actual program targets H-1B retention for international STEM entrepreneurs through institutions (not direct founder grants). The applicant is the institution, not the entrepreneur.
