Resilient Societies is a call for focused analytical projects examining how institutions organize, adapt, and endure — or fail — when tested by crisis, conflict, or rapid change. Selected applicants receive $3,000–$6,000 to develop a tightly scoped project during summer and fall 2026, with written work due October 31. The program targets early- to mid-career thinkers from academia, policy, law, journalism, civil society, technology, or humanities. International applicants are welcome; the program is designed for individual applicants (teams should apply as lead author). Strong work leads to continued Mercatus engagement including commissioned research or visiting fellowships.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
