The MIT.nano Immersion Lab Gaming Program was a four-year collaboration between MIT.nano and NCSOFT (a South Korean video game company), running from April 2019 through January 2022. NCSOFT funded equipment and sponsored annual seed grants to MIT faculty and researchers working on gaming innovations, HCI, and related technologies. Four focus areas were funded: Gaming in Research and Education, Communication Paradigms, Technology for Human-level Inference, and Technology for Data Analysis and Visualization.
