NASA SBIR/STTR Phase III
Helps NASA and Phase III for companies that completed NASA and I and II.
NASA's SBIR/STTR Phase III is the commercialization stage of NASA's small business innovation track. It is not a new competitive grant round. Instead, it gives NASA centers a sole-source path to buy technologies, products, and services that already came through Phase I or Phase II. Only firms with a prior NASA SBIR or STTR Phase I or Phase II award are eligible. The contracts are funded from NASA mission or program budgets rather than SBIR/STTR set-asides, and there is no statutory dollar cap. Awards are sized to the procurement need, so the practical ceiling depends on the specific transition opportunity rather than a published maximum. For companies, the value of Phase III is speed and continuity: once the technology is ready for transfer, NASA can buy without running a new competition. That makes the route most relevant to teams that already proved feasibility in earlier phases and can show a direct line into a NASA mission, another government customer, or the private market. The opportunity is rolling and can appear whenever a center identifies a fit.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
