AIM-AHEAD Research Fellowship Program
Supports early-career researchers at minority-serving institutions through fellowships in AI and machine learning health studies.
The AIM-AHEAD Research Fellowship Program supports early-career researchers developing and applying AI/ML methods to health challenges — particularly behavioral health, cardiometabolic disease, and cancer. Cohort 4 (Year 4, active 2026) awarded 24 fellowships. Fellows are drawn from AIM-AHEAD member institutions, which include Minority-Serving Institutions, HBCUs, and community health organizations. Sub-awards are issued via Research Opportunity Announcements (ROAs) through the AIM-AHEAD Coordinating Center (OT2OD032581), not through NIH grants.gov. Award amounts, page limits, and submission portal details are not published on the program directory page and are expected to appear in the ROA documents.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
