NIDCD Research Grants (R Series)

NIDCD administers several R-series grant mechanisms for investigator-initiated biomedical research. The R01 is the primary mechanism across universities, hospitals, research institutes, for-profit organizations, and government institutions. Smaller mechanisms include R21 (Exploratory/Developmental), NIDCD Early Career R21, Stephen I. Katz Early Stage Investigator R01, and R15 (Research Enhancement Award).
