NIH ODSS AI Initiatives (Workforce, Ethics, AI-Readiness)

NIH ODSS AI Initiatives is an NIH-wide set of funding themes under the Office of Data Science Strategy at the NIH Office of the Director. The program covers workforce development in data governance for AI in biomedicine, ethics and transparency for people and machines, and the AI-readiness of existing NIH-supported data. The funding route is an annual administrative supplement series rather than a standalone grant competition. Recent notices include NOT-OD-21-079 and NOT-OD-21-094 in FY2021, NOT-OD-22-065 and NOT-OD-22-067 in FY2022, and NOT-OD-23-082 in FY2023.
