Innovate NY Fund
Supports a fully deployed New York venture capital program for teams and organisations building early-stage companies.
The Innovate NY Fund was a $45.9 million fund-of-funds launched in December 2012, using a $35.6 million US Department of Treasury grant and $10.3 million from Goldman Sachs. Seven fund managers were competitively selected to invest in seed-stage businesses across New York State. The fund invested in 81 companies, generating $323 million in private sector follow-on investment and creating 2,250 jobs. The fund has been fully deployed and is no longer actively investing. It is retained in the catalog as a historical record; the replacement program is the NYS Innovation Venture Capital Fund.
