NYS Innovation Venture Capital Fund
Supports Direct co-investment into NY tech companies at Seed through Series alongside lead institutional investors.
The NYS Innovation Venture Capital Fund is a direct investment vehicle that co-invests alongside lead institutional or strategic investors into New York State technology companies. The fund holds $100 million in state allocation and an additional $35 million from SSBCI, totalling approximately $135 million. It does not lead rounds — a qualified institutional or strategic lead investor must already be participating. The fund targets primarily Seed and Series A rounds, with potential for Series B participation. Investment sectors include climate technology, health tech and life sciences, agtech, advanced manufacturing, social impact SaaS, data and AI, and other critical technologies. Companies must demonstrate commitment to building diverse workforces in New York State and generating new jobs.
