Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Tax Credit
Provides Pennsylvania innovation-sector firms with transferable tax credits for business growth in designated zones.
The KIZ Tax Credit gives for-profit companies under 8 years old, located inside a designated Keystone Innovation Zone and operating in a KIZ-targeted industry sector, a credit equal to 50% of their year-over-year revenue growth within the zone — capped at $100,000 per company per year. Statewide annual program cap is $15 million. Applications are filed annually by December 1, with awards issued the following May 1. Unused credits can be carried forward up to 5 years, and credits are sellable to other PA taxpayers — making the program close to cash for early-stage companies without sufficient state tax liability.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
