The Innovation Network Matching Grant funds nonprofits, universities, and co-working space operators that help Rhode Island small businesses compete nationally and globally. Eligible intermediaries provide technical assistance, flexible workspace, and access to capital to small businesses in sectors including life sciences, ocean economy, defense, food/agriculture, and critical technologies (cybersecurity, AI, quantum). Awards typically range from $75,000 to $125,000 with a minimum $50,000 request and a mandatory 50% match. The program is also known as the IGNITE Innovation Network. The annual cycle runs in January–February.
