Site Readiness Program

The Site Readiness Program provides flexible grant funding to Rhode Island cities, towns, and developers to tackle site-specific challenges and advance local development goals. Two funding categories are available: Site-Specific Improvements (planning, pre-development activities, infrastructure improvements, land assembly, demolition, and building enhancements) and Municipal Assistance (zoning ordinance writing, comprehensive plan updates, strategic planning, and development marketing). Award amounts are not specified; the program emphasizes flexibility. Applications can be submitted jointly with the Main Street RI Streetscape Improvement Fund.
