The RSI-WAVE Fellowship is a 10-week summer research experience at Caltech for non-Caltech undergraduate students who plan to pursue PhDs in sustainability-focused fields. Part of the broader Caltech WAVE Fellows Program, RSI-WAVE focuses on renewable energy, CO2 reduction, freshwater management, climate adaptation, and biosphere sustainability. Open exclusively to non-Caltech undergraduates — the most externally accessible RSI program. Current 2025 application period is closed; 2026 cycle expected.
