Sloan Energy & Environment Program
Funds research on low-carbon energy transitions, markets, innovation, and industrial decarbonization.
Funds research on the societal transition to low-carbon energy systems in the United States, investigating economic, environmental, technological, and distributional issues across six focus areas: energy markets and policy analysis, low-carbon innovation, transportation and mobility (electric, autonomous, shared vehicle systems), place-based energy transitions, industrial decarbonization, and energy system resilience. The strategic approach trains early- and mid-career scholars, doctoral and post-doc students, builds multidisciplinary research networks, and connects research to policy and practice. Restrictions: non-partisan and evidence-based analysis only; no energy policy advocacy.
