TTAC Travel Grant Program
Offers cover travel costs for TN startups and university researchers attending commercialization or industry events.
Launch Tennessee's TTAC Travel Grant Program is a small but practical support line inside the TTAC umbrella. It helps Tennessee startups and university teams cover the travel costs that often sit between a promising idea and a useful commercialization conversation. Awards go up to $2,500 and can cover airfare, lodging, and event registration. Eligible applicants include Tennessee-based small businesses commercializing innovative technology, along with faculty, researchers, and students at Tennessee research institutions. Applications are rolling, but they must arrive at least three weeks before the event date, and any application tied to an invention disclosure requires a LaunchTN consultation. The grant is a strong fit for commercialization conferences, entrepreneurship forums, industry meetings, customer discovery trips, and partnership-building visits. The best requests tie the trip to a specific next step, because the program is meant to move a real opportunity forward rather than simply subsidize attendance. Applicants do best when the event unlocks a customer conversation, a technical partnership, or a commercialization milestone.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
