Self-Sufficiency Fund
Provides grants for credential training programs serving low-income workers and public assistance recipients.
The Self-Sufficiency Fund provides grants to community-based organizations and community colleges to deliver short-term credential training for TANF/SNAP recipients and other low-income workers. The goal is economic self-sufficiency — trainees gain industry-recognized credentials in high-demand fields. Grants can reach $500,000 per project, with a target of $2,500 per trainee for tuition, materials, books, and supplies. Priority populations include TANF/SNAP recipients, those at risk of public assistance dependency, earners below ~$37K/yr with a dependent child, and youth aged 18–24 in low-income households.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
