Texas Workforce CommissionUnited StatesTraining subsidy

The Skills Development Fund funds tailored workforce training partnerships between Texas businesses and community or technical colleges. The college — not the business — is the formal applicant and grant recipient; the business is the training partner that defines the training need and employs the trainees. Grants are rolling year-round. Projects are typically 12 months. The fund covers curriculum development, instructor costs, and training materials for full-time W-2 employees of the business partner. This is an employer-driven, education-delivered model: the funder pays the college, the college trains the business's workers.
