TxDOT Maritime Infrastructure Program
Administers capital improvement grants for Texas port authorities and navigation districts.
The Maritime Infrastructure Program was reestablished by the 88th Texas Legislature to support maritime port capital improvement projects through the Port Access Account fund, originally created during the 77th Legislative Session. TxDOT Maritime Division administers the program. Eligible applicants are Texas port authorities and navigation districts only. For-profit businesses are not eligible as direct applicants, though they may serve as contractors. Calls are periodic, aligned to the Texas biennium appropriations cycle.
