GEMINI provides mentoring and career development to improve diversity and inclusion within UCSD's Institute of Engineering in Medicine. It comprises two components: (1) the GEMINI Fellowship Program, supporting early-career researchers from underrepresented backgrounds at the engineering-technology-biomedical research interface; and (2) the GEMINI Faculty Mentor Award, which recognizes faculty who champion diversity and inclusion in research training.
