Dairy Digester Grants
Funds dairy digester projects at Washington dairy facilities to improve renewable energy outcomes.
The Dairy Digester Grants program funds new construction, repair, and upgrades to anaerobic digesters at Washington dairies, including cover and flare installations. Projects must process primarily dairy biomass (maximum 50% from other sources) and be located at or adjacent to an existing Washington dairy. Applicants must demonstrate greenhouse gas reductions, waste minimization, and energy production potential. A 15% project match is required. The digester project must be construction-ready and completable within 24 months of contract execution. Funded by Washington's Climate Commitment Act; administered by Commerce Energy Division.
