In Utero

Funds In Utero to support cut stillbirth rates half developing scalable non-invasive methods measure predict gestational development.

Wellcome LeapCooperative agreement

In Utero is a $50M Wellcome Leap program addressing stillbirth — with 2 million stillbirths annually worldwide, 25–50% still unexplained. The program aims to cut stillbirth rates in half by creating scalable, non-invasive methods to measure, model, and predict gestational development in utero. The US context highlights the scale: approximately 12,000 stillbirths per year, which is 10 times the annual childhood cancer death toll. Performer teams are in mid-execution.
