The IDC Innovation Fund operates under the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention (PYEI) and is jointly administered by the National Department of Employment and Labour via the National Pathway Management Network (NPMN). It identifies and funds innovative solutions that break down barriers to youth employment in South Africa, with a focus on marginalised areas. Funded organisations work across three themes: stimulating demand for youth employment, driving systems change, and linking young people to economic opportunities.
