The IDC Social Employment Fund (SEF) is part of the South African Presidential Employment Stimulus and channels grant-based government funding through civil society organisations (CSOs) and community-based allies. IDC administers the fund and partners with Strategic Implementing Partners. As of the latest update, 37 CSOs and 1,100 community allies participate. The programme aims to counteract Covid-19 job losses by funding employment-creation activities at the community level.
