Kemenparekraf (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif / Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Indonesia)
Supports Indonesian tourism, creative economy, digital content, and entrepreneur development programs.
Kemenparekraf was Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, covering tourism development and creative sectors such as culinary, crafts, fashion, apps, film, and music. Its institutional footprint also included village tourism promotion, and it supported national brand-linked initiatives including Indonesia Spice Up the World.
Program activity historically included Apresiasi Kreasi Indonesia (AKI), Dana Peningkatan Usaha Pariwisata (DPUP), Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI), and SBM Poltekpar-linked scholarship or capability pathways. AKI is predominantly a capacity-building route with exhibition and training exposure, while DPUP operates as a tourism-county support mechanism with village-level investment support including approximately IDR 120 million allocations in published cases. ADWI focuses on tourism-village recognition and follow-on support through local channels.
The ministry was split under the October–December 2024 Prabowo cabinet reorganization into KemenPar and KemenEkraf. KemenPar continues the tourism-side mandate, and KemenEkraf carries the creative-economy programs and the AKI family. This profile therefore reflects a historical parent entity whose functions were partitioned across successors.
