KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology) is Saudi Arabia's national applied-research institution and technology-parks operator. It runs seven research institutes and operates eleven science and technology parks including The Garage (28,000 sqm, 300+ startups). Under Saudi Vision 2030, grant-making authority was transferred in 2021 to the Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDIA). KACST's flagship NSTIP grant program is wound down; the organisation today focuses on operational R&D, applied research, and strategic partnerships.
