NSTIP (National Science, Technology and Innovation Plan) was KACST's flagship national grant program, approved in 2002, covering 15 strategic technology priority areas including water, oil & gas, nanotechnology, biotechnology, IT, and aerospace. The program wound down following the establishment of RDIA (Research, Development and Innovation Authority) in June 2021, which assumed the national grant-funding mandate. No new NSTIP calls have been issued since RDIA's formation.
